LaShawn Denise Bagley, 21, is accused of murdering Demetrius Omar Lateef Allen, who was 27 years old at the time of the alleged incident.
Allen, better known by his professional name “Ouncie Mitchell,” made arrangements to stay with Bagley while he was in Salt Lake City to compete in a rodeo at the Utah State Fair. During his trip, Allen planned to perform in the rodeo.
Bagley’s posts on Facebook illustrate the strain on her mental health in the days leading up to the murder.
On Monday, Allen and Bagley went to the fair before going to a pub, where they got into a dispute.
According to the police, Allen wanted to go back to Bagley’s house so that he could finish packing his belongings and depart.
After Allen was discovered outside of her residence with at least one gunshot wound,’ Bagley was arrested on charges of murder and felony discharge of a firearm.

Why Was Ouncie Mitchell Shot Dead?
Ouncie Mitchell, also known as Demetrius Omar Lateef Allen, was a professional bull rider who was 27 years old at the time of his death.
According to a press release, the body of professional bull rider Ouncie Mitchell was discovered shot outside of an apartment complex. Allen, age 27, was transferred to a hospital, but he did not survive his stay there.
According to Professional Bull Riders, Ouncie Mitchell, who grew up near Houston, Texas, had been riding animals since the age of 2, when his mother entered him into a sheep-riding competition (to the chagrin of Ouncie’s bull-riding father Teaspoon Mitchell). Teaspoon Mitchell was a professional bull rider (PBR).
His father, who rode bulls in the 1990s at the Bill Pickett Invitational and later went into a job as a “cowboy-protecting” professional, grew to appreciate what would become his son’s, lifelong love.
Girlfriend Details Of Professional Bull Rider Ouncie Mitchell
The on-again, off-again girlfriend suspected of murdering her professional bull rider boyfriend, posted a picture of herself on her Facebook profile, along with a confession about how she was “trying not to come apart” only days before the fatal shooting that occurred at her residence.
After attending the Utah State Fair together on Monday, LaShawn Denise Bagley, 21, and Demetrius Omar Lateef Allen, 27, also known as “Ouncie Mitchell,” are reported to have gotten into an argument, and Bagley then allegedly shot and killed Allen.
Outside of the flat that belonged to Bagley, Allen was discovered with ‘at least one gunshot wound’ on his body.
Bagley has been charged with first-degree murder and discharging a firearm while committing a felony, which is a third-degree offense.
In the days leading up to the shooting, there were indications that Bagley’s mental health was in a fragile situation.
