She started her career in 1994 while working at the University of Florida Alumni Association as the Director of Gator Club Relations and Special Interest Groups.
She worked there until December 2000, at which point she started working as the Director of Regional Development & Assistant Campaign Director at the University of Florida Foundation.
Two years later, in November 2002. Before leaving in January 2010 to take a senior director of principal gifts post at the University of Florida College of Medicine, she held this role for more than seven years.

Details On Kristina Johnson Wife Veronica Meinhard $1 Million Dollars Donation
In May of this year, Kristina Johnson and her partner Veronica Meinhard donated more than a million dollars to Ohio State University.
The funds would be used, among other things, to create two scholarships for student athletes and first-generation college students.
This decision was influenced by Johnson’s ongoing struggle to ensure that graduates may avoid debt. Her and her husband’s generosity serves as a wonderful example of how they lead by example.
Two scholarships will be awarded to Johnson and Meinhard. Undergraduate student-athletes will receive the first prize from the Kristina Johnson Endowed Scholarship Fund, especially those who compete for the Ohio State women’s field hockey and lacrosse teams.
When Johnson was a student at Stanford, her alma mater, she participated in both sports. A second scholarship will be easily accessible for undergraduate students who are first-generation college students through the Veronica Meinhard Endowed Grant Fund.
Ohio State University wants to increase student scholarships by at least $800 million over the next ten years. One of the parts of such plans is this gift.

Kristina Johnson: Why Did She Resign As A Ohio State President?
President of Ohio State University Kristina Johnson has announced her upcoming resignation. Kristina’s term as president will come to an end when the academic year is through.
As the COVID-19 pandemic spread over the globe in August 2020, she began working at the institute. She has surmounted several obstacles during her two years there, with the plague being the worst.
No one has been able to show that her resignation was the result of a board request, despite a lot of conjecture to the contrary.
According to some accounts, the board was informed of Johnson’s resignation decision before their meeting in November.
In a statement released on behalf of the university, Dr. Hiroyuki Fujita, chair of the board of trustees, expressed gratitude for Johnson’s time.
During her brief two-year work at the university, her yearly salary was close to $927,000. She has stated that her departure will take into account the university’s search for and choice of a new president in order to facilitate a smooth transition.
Till then, she plans to stay in her current role. The board reports that the search for the university’s 17th president has started.
Johnson hasn’t made clear what she has in mind, but only time will tell when she completes her mission. Given her history, she might elect to stay employed in higher education, but given her advanced age, she might decide to retire.
