Trump Secret Service: Robert Engel Bio

Robert Engel was the head of the secret service, a special agent, and the person in charge of Trump’s protection.

On January 6, 2021, when former President Trump was informed he could not drive to the Capitol to welcome his supporters, he allegedly lunged at his security detail and the wheel of the presidential limousine, according to a former top aide who testified in court on Tuesday.

Cassidy Hutchinson repeatedly used the name Robert Engel while reporting on the incident that occurred on January 6 at the U.S. Capitol, and he was a common mention during the testimony.

Unfortunately, there aren’t many details regarding the covert agent online. His conserving nature might be the cause of this. As soon as we receive information about him from a reliable source, we will update this area.

Robert Engel Role On January 6 Hearings Testimony

When Robert Engel, the special agent in charge of the Secret Service, notified Trump on January 6 that he would not be able to travel to the Capitol, Hutchinson claimed Tony Ornato, the acting chief of staff at the time, told her that Trump was “irate.”

They were due to proceed to the West wing, but Engel pleaded with Trump not to go to the Capitol.

Hutchinson testified that after that, Trump rushed with his free hand toward Bobby Engel. She told the committee that neither Engel nor Ornato had disputed her account of what had happened.

Trump ultimately decided to skip taking his supporters to the Capitol, where they broke into the building and delayed the official announcement of Joe Biden’s electoral triumph.

After the rally, Trump reportedly instructed U.S. Secret Service officials in the presidential limo, “I’m the fucking President, take me to the Capitol now,” according to Cassidy Hutchinson.
