A student has accused Richard Bell, a teacher at Ritenour High School, of having sexual contact with her. In addition, a grand jury in St. Louis County has charged a Ritenour choir instructor with having sex with a student.
The St. Ann Police Department informed the jury that Richard Bell, 60, molested a 15-year-old choir student on April 22 at Ritenour High School. A different student raised their voice as they became aware of the inappropriate interaction.

Richard Bell: Teacher Arrested Sexual Assault On Student
The St. Louis County Grand Jury has charged Ritenour Choir Instructor Richard Bell with having sex with a student.
The St. Ann Police Department informed the jury that Richard Bell, 60, molested a 15-year-old choir student on April 22 at Ritenour High School. A different student raised their voice as they became aware of the inappropriate interaction.
The prosecutor for St. Louis County, Wesley Bell, said he applauds the minor child and witness for having the courage to speak up.
Nobody should put up with a teacher improperly touching a student. He also stated that schools should be where kids may feel at ease in all locations.
Richard Bell Jail Sentence And Charges
Officials claimed that Richard Bell had faced the same accusations in 2008 because they were documented in his school’s personnel file. He then signed a contract promising not to approach pupils while maintaining a working relationship with them.
Sexual contact with a student is also a Class E felony, which carries a possible term of up to four years in prison, $10,000 in fines, or a day to a year in jail. The court set Bell’s bond at $50,000.
Jared Lehnhoff-Bell, a different teacher at Ritenour High School, was also charged with statutory rape, second-degree statutory sodomy, and one count of having sex with a student in 2014 after having sex at his home.
