At the age of 70, well-known Malayali actor and director Pratap Pothen passed away. His cause of death and wife’s name is known.
The Panchmanga actor passed away in his Kilpauk, Chennai, home.

Pratap Pothen Death Cause
Although the cause of the actor’s death has not been made public, it is possible that he committed suicide because he was seen on Facebook writing about life and death soon before he passed away. However, no formal explanation has yet been provided.
Pratap Pothen Biography: Wikipedia
Pratap was born in Thiruvananthapuram in 1952 and worked as an actor, producer, screenwriter, and director. He finished his education at the Lawrence School in Lovedale, Ooty. He afterwards attended Madras Christian College to receive his diploma.
In 1985, Pratap wed the actress Raadhika. In 1986, the couple got divorced. In 1990, he wed Amala Sathyanath. The couple divorced after 22 years of marriage in 2012. Amala and Pratap are parents to Keya together.
On July 15, 2022, he was discovered dead in his Kerala home.
Career Of Pratap Pothen
More than 100 films include Pothen’s work. In addition to other films, he has appeared in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
For his efforts in the movies Thakara, Chamaram, Meendum Oru Kaathal Kathai, Rithubhedam, and 22 Female Kottayam, Pratap Pothen has also received honors.
He directed the hugely successful Telegu films Rithubhedam, Daisy, Oru Yathramozhi, and Chaitanya. Vetri Vizha, starring the renowned actor Haasan, was one of the movies Pothen also directed.
The veteran performer is renowned for his superb dialogue delivery. He made his final appearance in the Mammooty-starring film CBI5 The Brain. On May 1st of this year, the movie came out.
