Odumeje has not yet been charged with anything. Prophet Odumeje, meantime, shared a remarkable video of the moment he made a grand entrance into the church and sprang upon the altar.
In the video, personnel in white constructed a wall around him to deter curious spectators from touching him. The clergyman halted in front of the altar before stepping up on it like a wrestler entering the ring.
From the pulpit, he addressed the crowd while making hand and leg motions. His admirers gazed in wonder. The guys in white stood guard to prevent others from swarming toward him.
Was Odumeje Set On Fire?
More than 200 other homes, including the church of Odumeje on Bida Road in Figge, Onitsha, were targeted for demolition because they obstructed and clogged the drainage channel in the Figge-Onitsha, Ogbaru, and nearby districts.
It’s important to keep in mind that the Anambra State Government began a significant cleanup effort last month to desilt the Okpoko and Onitsha rivers to avert environmental hazards brought on by floods.
According to reports, the demolition exercise started on Thursday morning. Prophet Odumeje was seen in a video pleading for help as security personnel struck him in the face to prevent him from entering his church.
