The news has been filled with reports of Prophet Odumeje’s arrest following the destruction of his church.

Controversial Anambra State pastor Odumeje was badly beaten while attempting to stop a task force from demolishing his church.

In the viral video, government agents can be seen hitting the pastor before taking him from the church property.

Odumeje Arrested Case Update

According to 9News Nigeria, Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo destroyed the Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanamere Church in Onitsha because it posed a safety hazard.

A pastor from Calabar named Goodheart Val Aloysius denounced Prophet Odumeje over the situation concerning the late comedian Ada Jesus.

It is also referred to as the “land of freedom and miracle center” in Onitsha. He asserted that Ada’s situation proved Odumeje is not a prophet and lacks prophetic skills.

The miracles performed by his church are staged and orchestrated, Goodheart noted. The Calabar preacher challenged Odumeje to a battle of the weathermen at the Abuja National Stadium. He added that the event would be covered by media outlets.

Odumeje Charges

Odumeje has not yet been charged with anything. Prophet Odumeje, meantime, shared a remarkable video of the moment he made a grand entrance into the church and sprang upon the altar.

In the video, personnel in white constructed a wall around him to deter curious spectators from touching him. The clergyman halted in front of the altar before stepping up on it like a wrestler entering the ring.

From the pulpit, he addressed the crowd while making hand and leg motions. His admirers gazed in wonder. The guys in white stood guard to prevent others from swarming toward him.

Was Odumeje Set On Fire?

More than 200 other homes, including the church of Odumeje on Bida Road in Figge, Onitsha, were targeted for demolition because they obstructed and clogged the drainage channel in the Figge-Onitsha, Ogbaru, and nearby districts.

It’s important to keep in mind that the Anambra State Government began a significant cleanup effort last month to desilt the Okpoko and Onitsha rivers to avert environmental hazards brought on by floods.

According to reports, the demolition exercise started on Thursday morning. Prophet Odumeje was seen in a video pleading for help as security personnel struck him in the face to prevent him from entering his church.
