She was up in Minnesota, attended the fervent fundamentalist Bethel University, and has experience in journalism, energy policy, and filmmaking.

In her campaign, Leigh ran on a solid platform that included racial justice, reproductive rights, the prevention of gun violence, support for a state-wide equal rights amendment, clear safeguards for young trans and gender non-conforming persons, and better mental health services in schools.

“As a woman, I’m concerned about a time when reproductive rights are not guaranteed. I’m committed to fighting to keep abortion legal in Minnesota. In addition, I’m concerned about the planned nationwide campaign to harm trans children since I’m a trans woman.
