The Japanese badminton player Kento Momota is rumored to have faced an accident. On the court, he is famous for playing with tenacity and talent.

The 27-year-old player has won notable badminton tournaments like two World Championships, two Asian Championships, and one All England Championship.

Momota entered the Guinness Book of World Records for “The most badminton men’s singles titles in a season” after winning 11 championships in badminton during the 2019 season.

Kento Momota Accident Update

On January 13, 2020, Kento Momota won the Malaysia Masters. A few hours later, as his car was being driven to the airport in Kuala Lumpur, it collided with a lorry.

The van’s driver was killed in the collision. As a result of a tragic accident, Kento reportedly sustained damage to his face, lips, and nose.

He hasn’t performed at his previous level after getting over his injuries. The Yonex German Open, Yonex All England, and 2022 Badminton Asia Championships were the three events in which he competed.

Because of their encouragement and support, Momota has made it to the Malaysia Open Semi-Finals and has acknowledged them. With this backing and confidence, he claims, he will undoubtedly make it to the finals.

Kento Momota Wife: Is He Married?

As of 2022, Kento Momota is neither married nor has a wife. The world badminton champion appears to be a very private person in his personal life.

Momota hasn’t been seen out and about with his significant other or had his love life in any manner made public. It appears that Kento is no longer involved in a romantic relationship and is instead concentrating on his career.

Momota appears to be totally focused on his professional athletic career, but there is no hint of an official announcement regarding Kento’s marriage.
