Patrick Goodman is married to Katie Hobbs, an American politician and social worker who is now Arizona’s secretary of state and prospective governor.
She is a Democrat who held the offices of state representative for the 15th legislative district from 2011 to 2013 and state senator for the 24th legislative district from 2013 to 2019.
In the 2022 election for governor of Arizona, Hobbs narrowly beat Kari Lake, a Republican.
The Associated Press forecast her victory on November 14, 2022. Hobbs will be Arizona’s sixth female governor, a first for American states.

Katie Hobbs Early Life And Professional Life
Katie Hobbs graduated from Seton Catholic High School in Chandler, Arizona, in 1988. She earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from Northern Arizona University in 1992 and her master’s degree in social work from Arizona State University in 1995.
Hobbs credited Emerge Arizona with igniting her interest in politics when she was elected to the Arizona House of Representatives in 2010.
She decided to run for office because she believed that the people she assisted as social worker were not being heard by the government. She is in favor of ending domestic violence.
In 2012, Hobbs was elected to the Arizona Senate, where he served as minority leader for two sessions.
During her first term as minority leader in 2015, black Senate worker Talonya Adams complained to Hobbs about racial discrimination. Hobbs later partially rejected Adams’ complaint.
