According to Vanity Fair, Jeff Bridges had a health problem and was sick at the beginning of 2022.

The actor explained that the preceding 18 months had been “bizarre dream-like” in a recent interview with People after learning that he had non-Hodgkin lymphoma and then nearly dying from COVID-19.

He first experienced stomach pain while exercising, which led him to seek medical attention. The doctor told him he “had a 12-by-9-in. tumor in his body.”

After chemotherapy infusions, Bridges was diagnosed with cancer immediately and began taking oral chemotherapy. Fortunately, his doctors could quickly remove the tumor from his body.

He received COVID-19 in January 2021, which increased his chances of overcoming cancer but also caused another health setback because the chemotherapy severely damaged his immune system.
