Jenna Ellis, a Longmont native who worked as a lawyer for former President Donald Trump, faces disbarment in Colorado for her role in attempting to influence the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.
On Thursday, the nonpartisan States United Democracy Center filed a complaint against Ellis with the Colorado Supreme Court’s Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel, demanding an investigation into whether she violated her moral standards as an attorney.
Jenna was a former attorney on Donald Trump’s legal team. In addition, she was a deputy district attorney in Weld County, Colorado, and an assistant professor of legal studies at Colorado Christian University.

On the same day Ellis was appointed, a congressional committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack heard public testimony based on Giuliani’s and others’ phony election fraud claims.
According to Reuters, former Attorney General William Barr and other top Trump officials testified on Monday, Jun. 13, denying the claims of fraud. The committee has subpoenaed Ellis, although it is uncertain whether she will participate in future hearings.
