How Did Fixer To Fabulous Chase Looney Lose His Eye?

Chase Looney, a cast member of Fixer to Fabulous, uses an eyepatch after he loses an eye in an accident.

Most of the time, Looney could be seen donning the eyepatch, but occasionally he would remove it. People began to believe that he solely utilized such patches during the performance.

However, after much debate regarding the eyepatch, the television personality wrote a blog post about it.

He disclosed on the blog that a 2017 event caused him to lose his left eye. It took place just a few days after HGTV started filming the pilot of Fixer to Fabulous.

Looney was responsible for setting up the fireworks on July 4, the US Independence Day. Still, because a storm was brewing, the group opted to launch three mortars just before it started to rain, according to Distractify.

He claimed that after lighting the fourth mortar, the fourth tube burst and knocked the fifth mortar over as he attempted to lift it off the ground.

He was immediately taken to a hospital in Bentonville, Arkansas, but the medical staff determined that he needed to be flown to another facility in Springfield, Missouri.

He was taken to the hospital by ambulance because of the terrible weather that day, and eight hours of surgery followed when he got there. Later, he was informed that his eye had been lost and would need to be removed.

Doctors also warned him that the scarring on the left side of his face might be irreversible and that he might not have any facial movement.

He told them that he might no longer have a face for television when Marrs visited him then, but they reassured him by saying that he never had a look for television in the first place through tears and laughter.

He participated in all three of the show’s seasons. On Facebook, he also described his support from his wife Chelsie, his children, his extended family, and his closest friends, including Dave and Jenny Marrs and the Fixer to Fabulous team.

Chase Looney Before Accident Photos Resurface

Sometimes when Chase is not working, he removes his eyepatch. However, his doctor advised him to wear the patch when working with wood since if sawdust got into his eyes, he might get an infection.

There weren’t many of his photos on the internet before the disaster. There are no pictures from before the year 2020 in his Facebook updates.

Jenny Marrs did, however, once publish her Facebook images of him and Dave before the incident.

After divorcing his wife Chelsie in February 2021, Looney stopped updating his social media accounts. Contrarily, Chelsie is married and living a new life, while Chase is barely mentioned.
