Following suspected gun incidents on Skye and in Wester Ross, a woman named Rowena MacDonald suffered significant injuries. On Wednesday, three people were hospitalized, and one died due to the event.
She is a man’s wife whose husband, Finlay MacDonald, was detained in connection with the event.
Finlay, the alleged shooter, is accused of engaging in a shooting spree that left one person dead and three other victims in serious condition. Three counts of attempted murder and one count of murder have been brought against the defendant.

Who Is Rowena MacDonald?
Rowena MacDonald, 32, reportedly assaulted at a residence in Tarskavaig, Skye, at around 9 a.m. yesterday, is in critical condition at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
We can now confirm that Finlay MacDonald, Rowena’s husband, who is 39 years old, was detained in connection with the incidents before being transferred to Raigmore Hospital. His current state is unknown at this time.
Officers were sent to the town of Tarskavaig on Wednesday morning at nine o’clock after learning that their sister-in-law Rowena had been stabbed inside her home.
The alarm was ultimately raised when someone began firing at Mr MacKinnon’s house, eight miles away, after nearly 30 minutes had passed.
John MacKinnon Murder Suspect Arrested
According to dailymail.co.uk, the police yesterday confirmed the suspect’s detention and the laying of charges against Finlay for Mr MacKinnon’s murder as well as the attempted murders of three other persons. The court hearing for Finlay MacDonald is scheduled to take place in Inverness.
MacKinnon, a 47-year-old resident of Teangue, a fishing community on the Isle of Skye, was shot and murdered at his residence. The shooting was just one of the numerous related events.
Yesterday, the beloved father of Mr MacKinnon’s family received condolences and was honoured. John was described in a statement as a loving husband, father of six children, brother, uncle, and grandpa to his family. He was also a well-liked member of the neighbourhood.
John loved to spend time outside and was an ardent motorbike rider. He cherished his family and wished for his children to carry on his hobbies and interests.
