After ten years of anchoring, reporting, and managing for News 8 WROC, journalist Mark Gruba, a native of New Jersey, said goodbye.

Since 2011, he has been an anchor, reporter, and managing editor at WROC-TV, giving him a total of 11 years and 6 months of ties to the network.

He formerly held the positions of sports anchor at WVVA-TV, sports reporter at WHEC-Tv 10 NBC (Dec 1999–July 2008), and anchor at YNN Buffalo at Warner Cable (Sep 1996- Nov 1999).

The morning show on the network between five and six in the morning was hosted for ten years by Mr. Gruba, a native of New Jersey.

Friends who work with Mark as a co-anchor at the station tweeted about his departure from the news network, saying that she will miss his companionship, a wonderful tutor, and most importantly, his years of experience.

Mark won the hearts of those around him and the people of Rochester with his ability to tell engrossing tales over the air while maintaining a positive attitude and meticulous attention to detail.

He currently has no intentions other than spending time with his family; however, he may soon announce them.
