Cerrone hasn’t fought since being knocked out in a fight with Alex Morono in May 2021. With this loss, he has a 0-5 record in the UFC, with one no-contest in his last six appearances. Cerrone has been dormant since then.

Cerrone was ready to get back on track after a fresh start and establishing a new training camp in Las Vegas, but he would have to wait until later to compete again.

There is no word on whether the UFC will try to rebook the flight with Lauzon; nevertheless, for the time being, both lightweights will have to wait till their current match.
