Nancy Farver, the mother of Cari Farver, reared Max till he was an adult; they now reside nearby and support one another. Max is presently enrolled at Iowa State University and intends to get a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering and Data Science in December 2021.

He is interning as an application developer at CO-OP Financial Services while completing his final two semesters of college in Ames, Iowa. Max also has his website, which he uses to increase his prospects, experience, and exposure.

In 2012, Macedonia, Iowa, was home to Cari Farver, Nancy Raney, and Cari’s son Maxwell Farver. Cari worked as a computer programmer in Omaha, Nebraska, a couple of hours away to support her family.

Nancy clearly remembers from the start feeling wrong about Cari’s abrupt absence. Even with her bipolar disorder, her daughter, a kind, compassionate, and diligent mother, would not have been able to leave her son’s life abruptly.

Max, who had just turned 15 when his mother disappeared, understood that Cari wouldn’t skip significant family gatherings unless something were wrong. But, despite emailing him to indicate that she would also come to pick him up, his mother never arrived.

So, roughly six months after the previous post, Max decided to contact her Facebook account. But, after Max asked her to confirm her identification by responding to three short questions about him and the family, Cari’s online persona remained mute.

What Happened To Cari Farver?

Cari Lea Farver was born on November 30, 1974, in Iowa. She shared a home in Macedonia, Iowa, with Cari Farver’s son, Maxwell Farver, and her mother, Nancey Raney.

Farver periodically sent strange texts to Nancy Raney and Max, her 15-year-old son. She said in them that once she finds work in Kansas, she will arrange to bring up Max. But she did not show up.

While working at an auto repair business in Omaha, Nebraska, Dave Kroupa met Cari Farver. According to ABC News, Kroupa had recently started dating after divorcing Amy Flora, the mother of his two children, and was new to the area.

According to all reports, Kroupa fell head over heels for Farver when she left her car at the shop.

Kroupa and Farver fall in love shortly after their initial encounter. However, each party acknowledged that they weren’t seeking a long-term commitment. Kroupa had seen many other ladies before beginning her relationship with Farver.

According to ABC News, Kroupa said goodnight to Farver on November 13, 2012, and departed his residence. He and the others would never again see her alive after that.

Who was responsible for Cari Farver’s disappearance?

The single mother went missing in 2015, and two detectives in Pottawattamie County, Iowa, restarted their investigation into her disappearance. They discovered proof that Golyar killed her, not that she was Farver’s abuser.

Even though she had been impersonating Farver for years, the investigators eventually concluded that she was the actual sender of the threatening texts to Kroupa and others.

Golyar began to think that Amy Flora, Kroupa’s ex-girlfriend and the mother of his children, was behind the texts. Flora was ultimately arrested and charged with first-degree murder despite Golyar’s attempts to frame her.

Police discovered photographs of a dead foot with a tattoo that matched Farver’s, coupled with additional circumstantial evidence indicating Golyar killed Farver. At Golyar’s house, some of Farver’s possessions were also discovered.

Farver’s body has never been discovered, though. Golyar was nonetheless accused of murder in 2017 and subsequently found guilty. She is incarcerated for life in York, Nebraska’s Nebraska Correctional Center for Women.
