Bryan Penn Johnson currently plays for California Polytechnic State University.

Bryan has played basketball professionally for a very long time. In California’s Long Beach, he was born.

Bryan once played basketball for the East Los Angeles College team (ELAC). The Netflix original series Last Chance U, which chronicles the ELAC basketball team as it once fought to keep its position in the California region, also featured him in the title role.

East Los Angeles College head coach John Mosley guided Bryan to this point. He began a new chapter in his life due to his leadership, which allowed the ELAC Huskies team as a whole and him personally to become one of the most prestigious teams in California.

Cal Poly Mustangs center Bryan Penn Johnson plays for California Polytechnic State University.

According to a tweet from the school’s official Twitter account, the famed Johnson, who stands seven feet one inch tall, has joined Cal Poly Men’s Basketball. Bryan put forth a lot of effort and dedication to achieve this. As a junior, he plays basketball for the Cal Poly Mustangs of California Polytechnic State University.

According to Distractify, he was given a full scholarship and a private room after getting accepted to the institution as a basketball player.

His new training facility is a part of the top NCAA Division I circuit.

He was able to secure a berth on his new team because of his efforts and the suggestions of his old coach John Mosley. He was finally able to call himself a Cal Poly Mustang and attain the success he rightly deserved due to his years of hard work.

Even after enrolling at the new university, Bryan kept working his magic. His career is off to a great start, as evidenced by his already participating in six games. Bryan finished with an average of 9.5 points and had the opportunity to start one game.

He participated in the team’s opening 57 minutes of play and wowed the audience with his skills. The 2022–2023 Mustangs’ schedule is packed, and Bryan Penn Johnson is expected to dazzle the circuit with his ball-handling abilities.

Bryan Penn Johnson School Journey

Center weighing 150 pounds for 235, Bryan Penn Johnson attended four colleges in four years. He ultimately decided to join the Mustangs.

He first enrolled in Wasatch Academy in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, and graduated as a four-star recruit in 2018. Bryan assisted the team in finishing third in Utah and posting twenty-four wins against two losses during his senior year, 2017–2018.

After graduating, Bryan enrolled at the University of Washington, but he couldn’t say the same for his first year there. He was a Redshirt freshman for the UW Huskies for the 2018–19 season.

He has a year to make up the games he missed and make sure he doesn’t blow the opportunity he was given for the 2019-2020 season.

The Wasatch Academy alumnus participated in six games for Washington and six games overall. On November 24 at home, the squad defeated San Diego, and he scored five points, a season-high. Similarly, he recorded a season-high three rebounds and two shots blocked on January 25 versus Colorado.

Bryan transferred to Louisiana State University and played his second season for the LSU Tigers. The COVID-19 outbreak significantly impacted his first semester as a sophomore at LSU. Nevertheless, he made five appearances for the group and made it to the second round of the NCAA tournament.

He won his first game against SIU-Edwardsville on November 26 and contributed his first score and rebound for LSU. It was a turning moment in his life and career when he was forced to move from LSU to East Los Angeles College.

He participated in 29 games for John Mosley, starting fifteen, and averaged 8.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per contest while shooting 66.7 percent from the field.

Nine times, he scored in double figures. On January 21, against Los Angeles College, he recorded a career high of twenty-three points on ten of eleven shooting and twelve rebounds. In victories over Pasadena City College on February 16 and Rio Hondo College on February 4, respectively, Bryan contributed 21 points.
