Tim and Cindy Horvat welcomed Bo into the world in London, Ontario.
He has a close relationship with his younger brother Cal. Tim, Horvat’s father, sold insulation, and Cindy, his mother, was a hairdresser.
While playing Junior B, he took part in 10 OHL contests with the London Knights. He works long hours to have a few short days off to see his son perform.
During their formative years, Bo and his younger brother Cal routinely practised hockey in the basement of their home. He is the cousin of Philadelphia Flyers NHL player Travis Konecny.
