Austin Derek Aldridge, a 25-year-old citizen of Spartanburg, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, while carrying out his duties as a Deputy First Class for the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office.
Tuesday, Austin Derek Aldridge, 25, passed away while responding to a complaint of a domestic altercation at a house. After being shot, Aldridge was brought to the medical facility, where he was pronounced dead.
It is alarming news that every day, more and more young people are lost to homicide. Yet, according to Jonathan Andrews, a friend of Austin Aldridge, between May 20, 1997, and June 21, 2022, “there were 9,163 days of a loving son, a terrific friend, a loving brother, and amazing husband.”
On Sunday at 4 p.m., Austin Derek Aldridge, a Spartanburg County deputy who passed away during duty, was buried at The Church at the Mill, 4455 Anderson Mill Road, close to Moore.

Austin Derek Death Cause: What Happened To Him?
According to the Source, It has been revealed that Austin Derek Aldridge, 25, died on Tuesday after being shot earlier that day while responding to a call about a domestic disturbance in Spartanburg County.

He will remember how animatedly Aldridge smiled, to the extent that Wright cracked a joke about Aldridge catching bugs in his teeth.
According to Wright, grief is the cost of loving someone. By golly, I’m going to pay that price. Austin enjoyed viewing The Lord of the Rings, reading for leisure, playing board games, and playing video games.
The big circle of devoted friends Austin referred to as “The Party,” and his family was among the people he liked to be around most.
Austin was a great person who loved the Lord and served on the security team at his local Church, First Baptist Lyman in Lyman, South Carolina.

The funeral procession for Austin Derek Aldridge has left Floyd’s Mortuary in the center of Spartanburg towards Moore’s Church at the Mill.
After leaving E. St. John St., the procession continued on John B. White Sr. Blvd./Reidville Rd. It turns left onto Anderson Mill Road and enters the Church at the Mill parking lot.

Pastor Bill Morris and the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office led the ceremony. The family of Austin respectfully begs that only immediate family, close friends, and law enforcement attend this memorial service.

After graduating from Wren High School in 2016, Austin Derek Aldridge, born on May 20, 1997, in Greenville County, enrolled at North Greenville University.
He graduated from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy with a certification in law enforcement, and on April 8, 2019, he started working for the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office.

Austin wed his dedicated wife, Jessica Link Aldridge, on September 14, 2019. In February 2023, she will give birth to their first child. Along with his parents, Derek Alan Aldridge and Deborah Spearman Aldridge, Austin is survived by his wife, Jessica, and their unborn child.
His sister Stephanie Arntz Tenbrink, brother-in-law Victor Tenbrink, and nephews James and Luke Tenbrink are all residents in Virginia Beach, as are his sister and brother-in-law. All four are from Simpsonville, South Carolina.
Mark Wesley Link and Monica Kent Link, both from Spartanburg, South Carolina, are his father- and mother-in-law.
