Aryna Sabalenka’s partner, Konstantin Koltsov, is a former ice hockey player from Belarus. Konstantin was a player for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Koltsov had a brief period of time in the NHL following his selection in the 1999 draft. He also had a successful career playing for teams like Spartak Moscow and HC Dinamo Minsk in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).

The two-time Grand Slam doubles champion tennis star Sabalenka has been dating Koltsov for 1.5 years. She is 24 and her boyfriend is 41. Their ages are seventeen years apart.

The Minsk, Belarus native, who is ranked fifth in the world, has had a fruitful career on the WTA Tour, winning numerous tournaments to her credit. Sabalenka recently said what she thought about Wimbledon’s ban on Belarusian and Russian players, and she plans to play there again this season.

Aryna Sabalenka Partner Konstantin Koltsov

Aryna Sabaleknka’s partner Konstantin Koltsov retired from playing in 2016. Koltsov spent three seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

He was a talented national player for Belarus and represented his country at the Winter Olympics in Canada in 2010 and Utah, United States, in 2002.

Koltsov has also participated in nine Ice Hockey World Championships throughout his career. He was a left-handed athlete who favored the right side of the court. Over his 18-season career, the 41-year-old has played for more than a dozen teams inside and outside of Belarus.

According to Elite Prospects, Koltsov spent the most of his time playing hockey for the KHL, a league made up of teams from Belarus, China, Finland, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Russia, and Slovakia across Eastern Europe and Asia.

His journey began when Konstantin signed on with Junactva Minsk during the 1997–98 season in Belarus’ top league. He couldn’t say no to Severstal Cherepovets’s contract offer for the next season.

Due to his talent and perseverance, he was a rising young prospect in the late 1990s, and NHL franchises were keeping an eye on him. In the end, he was chosen in the first round of the 1999 NHL Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Koltsov made his NHL debut with the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 2003–04 season. He participated in 82 games, scoring nine goals and scoring 20 assists. Before that, he spent the 2002–2003 American Hockey League season with the Wilkes–Barre/Scranton Penguins (AHL).

In 2006, the Penguins decided not to renew Koltsov’s contract, making him an unrestricted free agent. At that point, his NHL career was over because he had signed with Salavat Yulaev Ufa of the Russian Super League in August of the same year. He was selected the player of the year in the Russian Super League in 2008:

Before leaving Ufa in 2012, he spent another four seasons there. During this period, the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) was founded for the 2008-09 hockey season. A separate Russian team, Atlant Moscow Oblast, welcomed Koltsov, who would play for them for three seasons.

The 35-year-old former NHL legend announced his retirement from the sport on November 27, 2016. He played for Dinamo Minsk in that year. He scored three goals and sent out seven assists in his final season of competition.

Tennis player Aryana and her fiancé Konstantin became engaged. They traveled to Rome in the year 2022.

After Sabalenka lost at Roland Garros in 2021, they went out in public for the first time in Paris. Koltsov and Aryana went to France for the competition.

Regarding dating, the younger tennis pro is reserved, thus, she kept her relationship with the former NHL star a secret. It was false to claim she was unmarried in the media because it was kept a secret.

In November 2019, Aryana reportedly told a TV interviewer that she was going to marry a man. She nevertheless resisted and refused to reveal any further details about the mystery.

But she did see to it that her fiance wasn’t a Belarusian. It’s still unclear if she had in mind Koltsov or his ex-girlfriend Matvei Bozhko.

If Koltsov was the person she claimed to be, she lied when she said her partner was not from Belarus. Aryana may have put off her wedding to start dating the ice hockey player, though, if she was referring to her ex-boyfriend Matvei.

Speaking of Aryana and Koltsov, they dated covertly for a while before going public with their romance last year. They are engaged, but they haven’t yet wed.

Their first photo together was a mirror selfie she shared from a hotel room in Paris in June 2021. And I prefer this one, Sabalenka captioned the image.

Koltsov doesn’t frequently update his Instagram account, and Sabalenka has hidden his account. In September 2021, she posted many images of the couple kissing in a restaurant.

Last Christmas, Koltsov, and Sabalenka celebrated in a snowy Winterland in Moscow. The landscape was heavily covered in snow. They took in a frigid party in Moscow’s chilly weather.

The duo also visited Rome, Italy, in March 2022. Koltsov went to the Italian Open with Sabalenka, reaching the semifinals before losing to Witek.

After the competition, the two went sightseeing in the historic district, visiting Venice Lane, The Colosseum, and a restaurant serving authentic Italian pasta.

Sabalenka and Matvei Bozhko Divorced in 2020

Sabalenka once dated a famous hockey player from Belarus named Matvei Bozhko.

The couple allegedly got married at some point during their relationship, however, they broke up around 2020. Bozhko is a professional ice hockey player from Minsk who plays for Dinamo Maladzyechna in the Belarusian Extraleague.

Their romance peaked in 2019 before steadily fading after that. By the year 2020, the two couldn’t stay together. Consequently, they decided to end their relationship.

When Sabalenka and Koltsov first met, he was already married. Koltsov had previously been married to a woman by the name of Yulia. But that year, the couple did receive a divorce.
